Construct, deconstruct, reconstruct, 2017
Materials: trash collected daily, screen printing ink, laser-jet printing
A book inspired by different ways of documenting and the story that our trash tells. The book shows a process of making a collage of the trash created each day, taking that collage apart, and pulping it into a new entity in the form of paper. Each spread shows a collage of the days' trash on the left, with the days' paper on the right. A fisherman's knot ties and unties throughout the book as a way of further exploring the narrative of constructing, deconstructing, and reconstructing.
